Today was our last day of school at FBCM MDO and it was a momentous one for sure. We went on a field trip to the oil ranch which is, apparently, a big deal round these parts!!! I feel a little country-fied after the day I've had.
There was a pony ride, a cow milking station, a hay ride (which was hilarious) a train ride and a few other things that all of our kiddos..including Addison...just loved.
Here's Addison and a few of her friends in front of the sign.
Here's Addison on the hay ride. See, what they did was, they handed all of the kids cattle feed pellets and put them on the floor of the hay ride. Then they drove into the cows and stopped. The cows all but jumped on the trailer with us and Addison was not having any part of that. She had these pellets in her hand and the cows were attacking her trying to get her to give them up but she was so scared she didn't know what to do. It was absolutely hilarious. I had to pick her up and save her from the cow snouts in her lap (The other kids got up in the adults laps as well).
See...no kids on the floor of the trailer. There were screams coming from everywhere. It was priceless!
Then, I'm not kidding....she seriously rode the horse. Well, it was a Shetland pony but she rode it...all by herself...and never cried or anything. I was shocked and amazed and SO proud. (I wouldn't have.) Only April has ever gotten me on a horse!
Yeah...I know...seriously!!!
I wasn't kidding! She's on a horse! Daddy is proud too.
Again! So proud!
and again!
and then a little smile...not that she's looking at the camera. Overall we had an amazing day and while I don't want to do it again 8 months pregnant...I would do it again next year ...with Daddy!

What a big girl you are, Addison. Ally is going to be jealous. Maybe you can take Ally to the ranch one day, and show her the ropes.
