My how time flies!!!!!!! It's really hard to believe that Addison has been bringing us joy for 2 whole years now. It's amazing because it seems like it's been such a short time, but I also can't imagine a time when she wasn't in my life. Obviously, I remember those days, but they seem so long ago. We decided to celebrate on her birthday since it fell on a Saturday. April and Ally came Thursday and stayed with us to help us get ready for the festivities. Thank God for a lot of people in my life, and April is on the top of that list. My mom made Gumbo (she's also on the top of that list) and brought it over for the party. We invited some family and a few friends and just had a little party to celebrate. Addison started the day with Daddy, (another on the very top of my little list) Momma, and Aunt April singing Happy Birthday to her and it got even better for her from there. When I put her to bed tonight I could see her little brain reeling from all the fun and excitement of the day. Lots of friends, cake, family, and presents....oh, and did I mention CAKE!!!

Grammy and Addison blowing out the candles of her birthday cake. Addison would have a birthday cake everyday, if she could. The party's theme was Sesame Street, of course, because it could only have been that or Barney, and I think Addison would agree that Sesame Street wins out. Elmo's the favorite, but all Sesame Street character's are a friend of Addison's!

Addison got lots of presents, mostly Elmo stuff. The present of the night was a Elmo play camera from her Aunt Melissa. Melissa wasn't there to see it, but all 3 girls needed one to keep them from fighting over it. The only kids there were all basically Addison's age so they were super cute together. Addison, of course, then Allyson (April's little girl) and Briley who belongs to a friend of mine from my neighborhood. They are all very different, but had a ball playing together. They also served as entertainment for the old people who can only think back on a time when they had that much energy.

Here's Addison opening up yet another Elmo toy. Like Erin says, I hope she still likes Elmo next month!

Oh yeah....and did I mention CAKE!!! She doesn't look super enthused in this picture, but let me tell you....SHE IS!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone for making Addison's day so great. I'm lucky to have such great family and friends around me, and my family.
