About Me

Jon and I, MaryAnn, met in Sociology class in the AB 1 building at Sam Houston State University in Jan. 2000. We will never forget that class for many reasons, but that's where it all began. On July 27, 2002 we were married and we were blessed a few years later on Dec. 15, 2005 with our first born, Addison Stayton Hill and then were blessed with our son, Aiden Steib Hill on November 25, .We are both teachers although I'm temporarily retired to stay home and raise Addison and Aiden. We have the perfect little family of 4 and are blessed by God beyond belief!!!

The Christmas Tree.

After Thanksgiving means it's time for Christmas.  YAY!  My favorite time of year.  The music, the lights, the happiness, the childlike faith that can be felt by all.  I enjoy putting out the Christmas tree and watching Addison (and soon Aiden) get so excited by the same things that excite me.  It's the beginning of an amazing month and lots of fun, fun, family time!!!

Santa Claus is coming to town.

My favorite ornament.  I got it the Christmas of 2001 when Jon asked me to marry him.  I'm a lucky lucky lady!

Addison's first ornament.  Hmm...I'm not thinking Aiden has one....poor second child.  I'll fix that ASAP.

Addison's newest ornament.  She wanted it on the blog!

Addison putting the star on top of the tree.  It's ceremonial for us.

Aiden certainly needed a turn too.

That's about as good as a pic. of the two of them gets these days.  UGH.

He's happy...just not still.  If he's still...he's not smiling.  He's a mess!!!

I took this one when we were putting the tree together this morning.  She put most of the ornaments on by herself and we had a ball decorating.  She is SO into it this year.  Although I can tell it's going to be a long year because she's already asking if Santa is coming tonight.  Excited much.

Daddy wanted to decorate her room too so he put lit garland around her bed.  She was grinning from ear to ear and was ready to go to bed right after he did it.  What little kid wouldn't want a decorated room?

Wow, what a lucky little girl to have CHRISTmas lights in her own bedroom. Ally is going to be jealous...I don't think Ally would get to sleep with them on. MaryAnn your photos of your ornament are FANTASTIC...I need you to come capture my tree..
