This year we decided to finally go on a family vacation. It was not extravagant but it was super fun and right up Addison's alley. We went to the beach with the Nichol's earlier in the summer and Addison loved it so we decided to take her back so that we could actually get a picture of it. We got a hotel room (Addison's first hotel experience) which Addison LOVED and planned to go to the beach. So, we arrived Monday morning at about 11:00 and drove around for awhile looking for the perfect spot. We finally decided to park across the street from our hotel which worked out well when we had a potty emergency right before check in time. We spent about 3 hours out on the beach and Addison and Daddy had a ball playing. I just hung out and watched our belongings and watched my two favorite people swim. (I'm not much of a beach water person!)
Daddy and Addison way out in the water.
The big kite finally flew for awhile.
They found a hermit crab and inspected it. Addison loves things like that. You know, things Mom doesn't like to touch!!

We both buried Daddy and Addison laid down on him. It was silly but we had a ball covering Daddy. We had a nice shade everyone was envious of, I'm sure.
A nice lady took our picture together. Now you know I was actually there with them. HA HA!
We then went to the hotel and took naps and of course played in the bed we would all be sleeping in.
I was craving some fresh shrimp so we had dinner and decided to work it off on one of these huge bikes. Very fun and Addison had a ball.
See, I was helping petal too.
We then took a ride on the ferry. Poor Addison looks like she's been thru the ringer. She had had a big day, and so had we. She even got a little sun even though I applied sunscreen twice. She turned to tan the next morning though.
She fell asleep just sitting on me. This is unheard of. She was pooped!

The next morning, Tuesday, we got up and got ready to head to Moody Gardens. The aquarium looked especially interesting to all of us, but we decided the 3-D IMAX shark movie might be a little much for a 2 year old.
Addison at the aquarium. The camera had little battery so we got lots of video of the aquarium but I did catch a cute picture of Addison standing in front of the penquins, her favorite.

Well, it looks like the Hill's Family Vacation was a hit. I know you all had LOTS of fun. Cute pics too.
I was just checking out the blog, again. And, I noticed this last pic, Addi looks like her little cheeks are filling out...just the picture and what? Too cute!
