Jon and I, MaryAnn, met in Sociology class in the AB 1 building at Sam Houston State University in Jan. 2000. We will never forget that class for many reasons, but that's where it all began. On July 27, 2002 we were married and we were blessed a few years later on Dec. 15, 2005 with our first born, Addison Stayton Hill and then were blessed with our son, Aiden Steib Hill on November 25, .We are both teachers although I'm temporarily retired to stay home and raise Addison and Aiden. We have the perfect little family of 4 and are blessed by God beyond belief!!!

Coloring Eggs and Making Easter Cupcakes

With tomorrow being Easter we had to do all of the fun things to prepare. Addison has been wanting to make cupcakes and I wanted to dye eggs so we decided to make them both to bring to Grammy's house after church.

For about 6 months now, or more, Addison's very favorite thing is to stand on a chair in front of the sink and play with water, a pitcher, and a wooden spoon. She has a ball stirring and pretending to cook like Momma does. So, when she figured out that she was going to get to do even more she was SUPER excited. The eggs are boiling and we are getting ready to make the cupcakes.

We are cooling the eggs and getting them ready to dye. Jon came in the house from mowing the lawn long enough to take a picture and to witness my mistake. Apparently I boiled all the eggs and I needed 3 for the cupcakes. So, off Jon went to the neighbors to borrow eggs. Thanks Pete! Thanks Jon. OOPS!!!

Now, with eggs to put in the cupcakes, Addison starts to mix in the bag of yummy cupcakes. What determination to get it all in the bowl.

A little mix and a sweet smile makes the cupcakes WONDERFUL!!

Now for the eggs. What beautiful colors. Although Addison would have had more fun just peeling them. Never seen a kid just want to crack them and peel them. Certainly not eat them. And Dying them was just okay.
