Jon and I, MaryAnn, met in Sociology class in the AB 1 building at Sam Houston State University in Jan. 2000. We will never forget that class for many reasons, but that's where it all began. On July 27, 2002 we were married and we were blessed a few years later on Dec. 15, 2005 with our first born, Addison Stayton Hill and then were blessed with our son, Aiden Steib Hill on November 25, .We are both teachers although I'm temporarily retired to stay home and raise Addison and Aiden. We have the perfect little family of 4 and are blessed by God beyond belief!!!

Addison's "Big Girl Bed"

I decided that since it was Addison's birthday and Christmas I should use th opportunity to get her Nana and PawPaw to buy her a new "Big girl bed". We went looking for this bed one day in the beginning of December and found it, but the bed was back-ordered at the place we were looking. I found it online and purchased it so it took a couple of weeks to come in. In the meantime I was playing up big girl bed, big time!! Poor Addison was so excited to get her "big girl bed" even though she probably had no idea what that meant to her. Finally it arrived, all the pieces, and we put it together. Addison loves playing in it, sleeping in it, and going to bed in it. In fact, I can't threaten to put her in the bed if she's crying because she not getting what she wants. She'll just say, "Okay!!"

Here is the bed. It fits in the room great since it's the tiniest room ever. Above the bed I'm eventually going to hang her ADDISON letters and paint circles behind them. I'll update the blog when I get around to doing that.

Jon and I took a dresser that we already had in the guest bedroom and painted it. We received a hutch top and I painted it and her is her dresser. We also changed the hardware to, of course, pink. I think it looks fabulous and this is definitely the room I would have dreamed about as a little girl. It's not totally finished in the pictures, but if I wait for that I might never blog her new room.

It's so pink. I just love it.

And Addison does too. She's got lots of room to roam in the bed now.

Well, now I guess I better get to getting Ally room in shape. She will be awfully jealous when she sees Miss Addi's "Big Girl" room.
I love it!
