Jon and I, MaryAnn, met in Sociology class in the AB 1 building at Sam Houston State University in Jan. 2000. We will never forget that class for many reasons, but that's where it all began. On July 27, 2002 we were married and we were blessed a few years later on Dec. 15, 2005 with our first born, Addison Stayton Hill and then were blessed with our son, Aiden Steib Hill on November 25, .We are both teachers although I'm temporarily retired to stay home and raise Addison and Aiden. We have the perfect little family of 4 and are blessed by God beyond belief!!!

Our Trip to the Zoo!

With a three day weekend at our fingertips, Jon and I thought it would be great fun to take Addison to the zoo. I'm not sure I had been to the zoo since I was in First grade and Addison has seen Barney and Baby Bop go to the zoo all the time at Grammy's so I figured it would be fun for everyone. It was a little chilly outside but the sun was shining and the zoo was not busy at all. Overall it turned out to be a great day. Unfortunately the train, the lion, and the tigers were under construction so we'll have to go back very soon to see those things. I'm sure Addison won't mind.

We're entering the zoo. Addison is talking about seeing the animals the whole way there. It's going to be such a good day. And the parking lot was empty...another great sign.

About to enter into the zoo. We're ready for fun and excitement!

Addison loved the turtle with the girl and doll sitting on it. I put her on top of it and should have added those pictures because she wasn't real excited about that (screamed) but she had a ball sitting beside it.

Poor thing is so bundled up, but I don't think it stopped her any. Addison, I decided, will never be a model. She HATES to have her picture taken and will turn her head at all costs to keep from taking a good picture. This is why she is never smiling. I can always seem to take a picture of her face, but you'll never get one of her smiling. Instead, she always wants to be behind the camera, so I'm convinced she's going to be the photographer. Maybe one day she'll actually smile for a picture.

Here we are looking at the big birds. They all became "Big Bird" after that. I think she was a little confused that they weren't all yellow. She had a blast seeing all of the animals.

Here's Addison and Daddy in the bat cave. This is such a sweet picture.

Wow Mom! Look...it's a ....what the heck is that?

Addison at the petting zoo. She was not real excited about the goats. She petted them and then was like, lets move on. Maybe she's used to be being really close to farm animals at Aunt Melissa's house!!

Then, Mom's favorite...the Giraffe's. I was amazed by them. Remember, I hadn't been to the zoo since I was 6. I thought they were some amazing animals and looked so cute. They are definitely my fav.

Overall it was a great day. I can't wait to do it again. Hopefully I can be amazed by the lion and the tiger soon. We'll post it for sure!!!
