On July 27, 2002 we were married and we were blessed a few years later on Dec. 15, 2005 with our first born, Addison Stayton Hill and then were blessed with our son, Aiden Steib Hill on November 25, .We are both teachers although I'm temporarily retired to stay home and raise Addison and Aiden. We have the perfect little family of 4 and are blessed by God beyond belief!!!

Merry Christmas Everybody!

Merry Christmas

I wonder what it is like to have a Christmas Day with no traveling. This year we decided that we'd make it our last year to spend the night with my parents on Christmas Eve. Next year we'll be home so that Santa doesn't have any confusion about where we are. In fact this year, since we weren't home he had a little trouble finding us and just decided he'd wait until the night of the 26th when he knew we'd be home. So, we got to mom's, had dinner and left for church. It was an excellent service and Addison joined us. Unfortunately she doesn't understand the "quiet" concept. I'm not one of those people who likes to draw attention to myself but for the good of Christmas Eve church service, I figured I'd take my chances. All would have been pretty good, except for the fact that the minister, who is excellent by the way, decided to dress up as Santa to give his sermon this year. As soon as Addison saw him she sayed (very loudly) (really loudly) "Santa, Santa, Santa, Santa, Santa...etc." All I could do was laugh, especially as everyone was turning to look at us, and smile. That wasn't the last of her little outbursts, but overall it was fine. We put Addison to bed, had some drinks, and played a game of Mad Gab with Uncle Davy, Grammy, Grampy, Jon and I before heading off to bed. Christmas morning we got up, had breakfast and opened presents. Santa called and said that he could just put our house off until the next day, luckily. We told him we'd leave extra cookies next year to repay his making another trip to Montgomery since we weren't there. What a great guy he is!!!! We have no pictures from this, but it is on video. We left soon after and went to Aunt Joni's for lunch. Left there and went to Nana and PawPaw's. Visited there for a while and finally made it home in time to go to bed. Whew!!!

This is our Christmas photo. It was taken on Dec. 15th but it's not easy to get all of us smiling in a photo...ask April, and my mom, and Jon's mom!!!!

This was the Sat. before Christmas. We had Christmas with Debi and Gene. Addison's got a "big girl bed" from them but she still had a few presents to open that day. Day 1 of Christmas. You know, we string it out.

On Christmas Eve morning we opened presents from just us. Addison opened a few and when she saw her Caillou Dvd she decided she was finished. Day 2 of Christmas.

I could lie and say this was the same day, but I think it was Sat. after Nana and PawPaw's Christmas. She was in the present opening mood and she's so sweet when she askes "open present?". What can I say, I'm a sucker.

Santa came through after all. He must have come in the wee hours of the 26th. He left Addison a table and chairs and a new tea set. She could not have been more excited. I made the mistake of putting the table and chairs in the playroom and I put the tea set in a container on her organizer. She was insulted and wanted it right back where Santa had left it.

She then finished opening her presents from us since Caillou had distracted her on Christmas Eve.

Grammy, Addison, and Grampy leaving church. Aren't they sweet!

This was an amazing Christmas. We have the greatest family surrounding us. We are 3 of the luckiest people on earth. I can't wait until next year.

Happy Birthday Jesus!!!!

Sounds like a fun, but crazy Christmas! I love that last pic, you need to frame that for Grammy and Grampy. Years from now that will be cherished by that baby girl.
